How to order your pages on the sidebar of your WordPress site

To order your pages in Wordpress, you will need to go to the page and assign the page order. A page assigned order number 0 will be on top of the sidebar, 1 beneath it, 2 beneath 1 and so forth. Here are the steps for assigning page order numbers to your Wordpress pages:

1. Sign in to your Wordpress dashboard.

2. Click on Pages.

3. Hover your mouse pointer over the page on which you wish to assign the order number and click on Quick Edit.

4. Enter the page order number in the Order field.

5. Click the Update button.

6. Repeat from step 3 above for every page that you wish to change the page order number of.

Tip: You will find it easier to re-order your pages later on, should there be a need, if you will assign 10, 20, 30, and so on instead of 1,2,3.You would then be able to insert a new page between 10 and 20, for example, by assigning 15 (or any number between 10 and 20) to it. That way you do not have to re-number all of your pages to insert a new page.
