Where can I learn about building affiliate websites?

I am looking to start building a couple of different affiliate websites based on education.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions or places I can learn more about this type of format along with SEO optimization.
Also, if I am doing the right thing focusing on education or should I be considering other quality subjects for higher ad Google revenue?
I do not want to work with anything illegal, nor having to do with gaming or porn.

 The best way to start is to go through the lesson on Choosing a Topic as well as the other lessons under Market Research
Or better yet, why don't you go through all the Free Affiliate Marketing Lessons?

If you could find 3 products in Clickbank with high gravity and $/sale greater than $17 then the education niche might be worth tapping into :)
