My Google Analytics Still Doesnt Show

Hey Guys,

I wanted to know if anyone here is using Mark's AffiloTheme for their Wordpress website?
If you do, does the custom code block on the 'theme options' work? The reason I ask is because I pasted my google analytics code there and it doesnt seem to work? Has anyone had this problem?

I would appreciate some input.

Thanks...

Did you mean the Custom Scripts (Bottom) field? Yes, it works. Do make sure that the complete and correct code is in there. Try re-generating and re-pasting the Google Analytics code.

I've done that several times already and it still doesnt work. The only thing I see when I paste the code in, is the analytics code itself and a bunch of backward slashes scattered all over. Something is definitely not right. Let me know what you think it is.

Thanks.

I just install the Ultimate Google Analytics plug in and paste the analytics code there.

What version of the Affiloblueprint Theme are you using? You should use the latest version, that is, version 1.2 as there is an issue involving backslashes when previous versions of the AB theme are used with later versions of wordpress.
You can download AB 1.2 through the Affiloblueprint page, at https://www.affilorama.com/affiloblueprint/members

So does google code go into the bottom custom scripts?
and what about adsense if you have code?
and rss feed?

Thanks

Caro,

Any code that you need just before the closing </body></html> should go in the Bottom field.

I forgot to ask, do we really need to add analytics code to site?

Thanks

It depends on where you want to place your ad (below post, above post, sidebar, etc.). I suggest that you install and use the 'advertisement management' plugin for your ads.

For your RSS, add the RSS feed widget and it will appear in the sidebar below the article list.

Hi Caro,

You don't have to, but then how will you optimize your site in the future? By using analytics you are able to learn about your visitors, their behavior, what works and what doesn't work.

Hello
That's a point, I have code, so I will use. Yet another thing to learn Thanks.

I agree with Esolutions. Google analytics will give you information about your traffic, find a pattern, and tell you what your customers want. It will help you check if you have a good marketing strategy and how you can enhance your visitors' experience.
