How to get people to click on instagram link

Hi

I have managed to get quite a good following on instagram ito numbers of followers… but no-one is clicking on the link in the description. Smeone suggested that I put a comment reminding people to click on the link in the description. My query is do you think it would be a good idea to put the url directly in the comment section as well? Im also going to suggest that people tag my posts. tnks

 What niche are you in? Are the people following you in the same niche too? What kind of content do you share in Instagram? The answers to these questions will tell you how you can get people to click on the link on your Instagram.

In a nutshell, if it delights them, if it appeals to them... they will click the link.

Thanks so much for that.. I am in the wedding niche and I have quite a few followers in the same niche..or with an express interest in that niche

my queries…
1. M y link in the description is to an article with a link to the affiliate site.. would it be better to link to a blog.. or doesn't it make a difference
2. I have added a comment in which I suggest that the followers tap on the link in the description.. is this enough..
3. Is it ok to put the link in a comment as well.. and not only in the description.. or is this spam ?

 Hi Chants,

1. Personally, I would place a link to the page where I want my visitors to be. If you want to get good traffic to your blog page, then you can link to that. If it is more important to link to your article only, then do that.

2. I have not promoted any product on Instagram BUT based from my observation, business pages DO NOT include a link to the comment area. When they comment, they just instruct followers that the complete information is found on their website in the description area.

3. Based from #2, I think that only way to direct your visitors is via the description area.

 The only way to direct people to your website is through the description area.
When you say you aren`t getting "no one is clicking" what do you mean?
Can you give us some numbers (impressions, CTR) ?

Yea, it is not bad idea to put the url in the comments. You should have interesting text below photos. And of course you should have the original bright photos.

 It simply depends upon the link whether the link is useful to use or whether it fulfill the demand of the customers accordingly. People follow the niche links and which niche your are provided the link.
