Facebook custom tab

Hi,
I am building a fan page on FB for my niche website I created in AffiloJetPack. How can I build FB custom tab?
I used Thunderpenny and created a tab, but FB apparently do not accept pages with http://. It requires https://. Is there a possibility to host the optin page on https://?
Or is there any othet option to create custom tab and link to my Free eBook optin page?

 Hi Alex,

I am pretty sure that you can use http for your custom tabs since I have seen FB pages with http links. Could you try to use another application instead? Try WooBox Custom Tab and see if you can connect your opt in page.

 Hi Maryt,
I installed Woobox and I have some issues with it. I tried to connect the custom tab to Free eBook optin page without leaving FB. I could not find the right setting. I only managed to redirect link from the tab to my optin page directly. How can I set the tab that the optin page opens in FB? I tried with URL option, but it does not include whole optin page. Can you help me with that?

I contacted woobox support and below is their answer. Obviously page should be protected (https://). I will not waste time and just redirect the FB custom tab to optin page. It's a pitty though... maybe there will a better solution in Affilojaetpack someday, but I do not have time to experiment. Alex

Hi Alex,
Firstly, we always advise against using IE as it has various compatibility issues. Facebook page tabs will not display unsecured content. You can obtain an SSL certificate, or use redirect mode. Sometimes just adding the “S” to the end of “http” works, but it is not guaranteed.
