Domain name re-directs

Hi all,

Is is possible for domain name re-directs to get ranked in Google - do they generally? Also is it a good Idea to use this method to mask your affiliate links and are there any repercussions.

I don't think it's possible for domain redirects to rank in Google since eventually, the site the domain refers to is where the traffic actually goes. I wouldn't use domain redirects either to mask my affiliate links. Using a redirect plugin like Pretty Links is better.

 No, I don't see this as an unwelcoming post. In fact, you helped me understand through commenters that it is not possible to get the domain name re-directs to get ranked in Google. Thanks again for taking a step to post this.
