that depends on whether or not your merchant uses cookies or not and what the duration of the cookie is, some are as long as a lifetime :D we love those!
example: if your visitor bookmarks your page, the merchant uses a 30 day cookie and your visitor goes back and buys in 2 weeks you get the commision, if they go back in two months, you won't.
Look at your affiliate terms to find out what the cookie duration is.
