Which Website Do I Work On First?

Hello Affilorama Members,

It's been awhile since I have posted on this forum, but in the past month or so I have received my first commission paycheck of 20 dollars from my website that I have created from forever affiliate: http://www.venaproreviewss.net/

I was very shocked to see my very first paycheck from them. I was stoked. It gets very little traffic and I mean little. Less than 5-10 visitors a month.

This past week or so, I have been talking to a buddy of mine and I hired him as a writer. I showed him the website and he liked it, but he also wanted to see all the other projects I was working on that I put to the side. I only had one website in particular that I have putted to the side and it is this:
http://www.computerrepairtechnician.net/

He replied back saying that, that website can be rebandable. An that I could teach people how to repair their own computer repair stuff. Such as virus removal, registry cleaning, and more.

An Idea clicked in my head. That idea was that I could start a list and teach people how to repair their own computer's basically. But first I thought I would write articles and put them on the website to provide valuable content. How I would get people to opt-in on the list would be I would have to give out a free ebook of some sort.

I don't want to take a lot of time on you hands, but basically My question is should I grow my venapro website that made my first commission and get it up in the ranks? or should I put it to the side and start the computer repair website? I do not know where to go. I can't make up my mind.

Hi Zack,

Congratulations on that sale from your Venapro site! I suggest you work on this site first and make it better before you move on to another site. This is because you've started to earn from the site, and you want to make sure that you're going to continue earning from the site, before you move on to other projects. I suggest you add more articles to the site as it looks too "thin". Adding more articles can bring on more traffic and decreases the chances of the site getting penalized.

Your website http://computerrepairtechnician.net/ needs a bit of more work. The overall design and layout needs to be updated as it looks like a site from the 90's. It needs more articles too. I would understand if you want to work on both sites, and if you choose to do so, then I suggest you come up with a schedule as well as a list of your goals for each site. Get organized so that you will be spending equal time on each site and be able to keep track of what needs to be done for each.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Thanks for the congrats. I will be working on both websites. But for my venapro website the only problem that I am currently having is finding keywords for it. Right now I am only finding product specific keywords for the website and I will go on from their. Should I be worried about search volume, even though mark says to not worry about search volume?

For my second website. Yes I do realize that the design is really horrible at the moment. But Im testing different wordpress themes for it right now. An I have forgotten that I some keyword ideas for the website.

Hi Zack,

You can target the product name and it would be great if you would rank for that since it's a high competition keyword. You can try targeting related keywords like : "how to cure hemorrhoids", "quick relief from hemorrhoids", and "hemorrhoid symptoms".

You don't really have to worry about search volume, but try and keep it within at the very least 200-300 searches a month so that you can be sure to still get some traffic from the keyword.

Hope that helps. Have a god day!

Hi Zack

First of all I should say that your Venapro review site looks very good. It is well designed and attractive to look at. It has a good and a compact content too. You have strictly followed the other regulations that affiliate marketers should follow such as inclusion of 'affiliate disclosure' and 'medical disclosure'. I hope this site has a great future! All the best. This site looks more challenging than the computer repair site. Hence my suggestion would be that you should go ahead promoting Venapro product. Of course publish relevant content on other external websites too linking this site. Hope my suggestion helps.

Definitely go with the one that's making money, you should throw everything you got at that until it either fails or makes enough money to put on auto pilot.

Then after that, move to the next idea, and hurry up to Fail or Succeed at that.

Hey Im back again:)

As I did some of my keyword research. I targeted more product name keywords. But most of the keywords are very low for search volume, were talking like less than 200 searches a month in the keyword planner. Don't get me wrong I have looked at some "how to cure hemorrhoids", but my most worry of all was for those keywords were competition. In traffic travis some of those keywords were difficult to go after.

Thank you! Right now I am focusing on getting more keywords and content to the website, then after I will be promoting the website to my best ability. Right now I am on page 3 for "venapro reviews" and page 2 for "does venapro work".

Hi Zack,

You can have 2 main categories : "Venapro" which lists all info including reviews of the Vernapro product and the second, "Hemorrhoids" covering all information on hemorrhoids.

If you're getting good traffic on the site, then you might want to consider adding AdSense. You can also try looking for other cures for hemorrhoids that have affiliate programs you can promote on your site.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Do you think It would be great to build a list on a website that the domain is all about venapro? Even though I know that the niche I am really in is hemorrhoids? I am also fixing the website design right now as we speak for my other website computer repair technician,

Hi Zack,

There's nothing wrong with building a list on your Venapro site. You can place the opt-in form on your sidebar and give away an eBook or free report on hemorrhoids. You then further promote Venapro on your list, as well as other products within the niche.

The domain may be about Venapro, but that doesn't mean you can't promote other products. Unless dictated by the terms of the affiliate program with Venapro, or your affiliate network, you should be able to promote other products too as Venapro might not work for everyone who has hemorrhoids.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!
