Website for Charity

Hi all, glad to be here, have built a couple of websites using tools from domain providers, but want to build a non-profit site so that ex members of a childrens home which does not have a web presence can find it and reconnect with thier pals of the past.
There are a couple of considerations that I was thinking of , one is some sort of cotrolled blog page (does not publish until its been approved. and a photo page that will allow upload (once the photos are approved.
Any ideas please, on a simple but effective website builder that will allow a relative newbie to achieve this.
please help, I am doing this without any form of payment. Once I have built the website, I will be asking the most effective way to attatch to search engines,. thankyou all in anticipation.

 Hi Ken,

I suggest you opt for Wordpress. Since you are not building a website about affiliate marketing, you can create a simple site on Wordpress. There are plenty of free themes and free plugins you can easily use to build a website on your own.

Getting traffic is still one of the good methods to get noticed/ picked up by SE in a short time.
