How you make the squeeze page the homepage depends on the Wordpress theme you're using. Some Wordpress themes allow for it, some have it as a built-in function that you can enable or disable.

This is not the same for Affilotheme. The squeeze page is a separate page with its own unique URL. It is not a page per se, or a post so you won't see it as either on the website. You can use make it into a popover that appears on the front page so that users will see it as soon as they get on the site.

To do this, go to Affilotheme > Squeeze Page and Optin Forms, select the squeeze page, then click on the box next to "Popover".

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

This is how to check whether your wordpress (not Affilotheme), lets you set your squeeze page as the home page:

Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Look for Static Front Page

Then click the name of your squeeze page

Don't forget to click the "Save & Publish" button at the top.

If the squeeze page is not created within Affilotheme (meaning it's a separate or entirely different squeeze page) and your site is not hosted on Affilotheme Hosting or Affilojetpack Lite Hosting, then you can.

Affilojetpack Lite Hosting and Affilotheme Hosting don't have FTP or control panel access so there is no way to upload a page to the index page.

I will confirm this with a technical staff and let you know as soon as I hear back from them.

Update : I was able to confirm with a member of our technical staff that there is no way to upload a squeeze page created through a plugin or third-party site on an Affilojetpack- or Affilotheme- hosted site.

If your site is on a third-part webhost, then you can.

To clarify Cecille's answer: She's talking about a static HTML page that has been created OUTSIDE of WordPress (eg, like those free sample pages that LeadPages give you, where they're just plain old HTML).

You can't do this on sites hosted through our "lite" hosting because you don't have FTP access to upload the HTML.

HOWEVER: You can certainly create a "page" in WordPress that has squeeze page functionality (ie, a signup form), and set this as the homepage on your site.

Furthermore, you can use third party plugins like Thrive Content Builder to create a squeeze page, and set this as the homepage on your site, because it is a "page".

You just can't do this with the AFFILOTHEME SQUEEZE PAGES because they are not technically "pages".

I just created a page through Thrive and set it as the homepage for one of my AffiloJetpack sites yesterday: http://www.rottenhound.com

... So it is possible :)

Hi aletta, I'm curious what is the opt-in rate for a squeeze page like yours? I have a similar one but the rate is really low.

This is just a dummy site for testing Affilotheme and AffiloJetpack stuff. It has no real content, and that signup form doesn't even ask for an email address.

But your signup rate will always depend on where your traffic is coming from, and whether what you're offering them is something they're interested in.

In my view this is a more important factor than the layout of your landing page, what colour your button is, how big your headline is, etc. (Or whether your landing page is on your homepage or an internal page, or whether it's responsive or not, or whatever)
