Have you watched any of the videos on web design? They explain a lot of the basics. Do you have any web design software to help you out?

No I sure don't have any software, but still don't know how to change it on my web site.

Well, you can either learn how to code, or you can get some software. www.nvu.com is good and free. Once you get a bit more cash, I'd recommend using dreamweaver.

Hi Aluna,

Sounds like you need some basic web design lessons! I recommend you do a quick search on the internet for basic HTML tutorials. This one gives you a basic overview from creating a basic page on your computer, adding some links and then uploading it to the correct place on your hosting site.

You don't NEED any web design software to just edit the text on that page or add some basic links, but you'll probably need to grab a copy of NVU, Dreamweaver or Frontpage to make anything particularly complicated.

To change the text on your current page what you have to do is create a different index.html file and upload that over top of the current one. The tutorial above will show you how to do that.

All the best,
Mark

Or you can do what I did, & abandon creating portals altogether & just create blogs..

With Wordpress & all the free themes, plugins etc you can get.. its a piece of cake & you can make your blogs look awesome. Plus you can just write in "natural english" as opposed to portals which you usually need to write in "corporate" language for..

I'd send you a list of my blogs as examples, but that might be considered misusing this site as advertising, so if you are interested.. PM me. I happen to have a blog about blogging that could help you as well.
