 Guest Blogging is when a person is invited to a website as a 'guest' to write a post for it.

The writer gets to expand their audience, and most of the time gets an 'about the author box' that could have a link back to their website or social profiles, and the website gets new content for their readers.

An example would be if you invited me to write a post on your site, and you put in the 'about author box' this: "Andrew is an aff. marketer, visit his website here".

You get content for your site and I get more exposure + a link.

Guest blogging is a method used by bloggers to increase blog traffic where bloggers write posts to be published on other bloggers' blogs. Guest blogging can work in one of two ways:

You write a post to appear on another person's blog.
Another person writes a post to appear on your blog.

 Guest blogging allows you to post your articles on other blogger's blog to increase blog traffic, to get backlinks in your website and also to build relationships to the customers.
guest blogging is writing an original blog post for other site and posting it with your name and link back to your site.

Guest blogging is also a great way o build brand awareness to the visitors and not just backlinks. In writing a guest blog, your post must like articles for article marketing. You write for your customer and not for yourself. Think about a topic that is very interesting and useful to the customers.

 Also, aside from the comments about guest blogging, the difference between posting content to sites that accept guest bloggers and posting to article directories is that guest blogging allows you to post content to related niche sites and possibly sites that have high page rank. Thus, guest blogging is considered to be a very effective tool for marketing.
