site just got removed from Google, I want to quit!

Found out this morning that my site.. no, sites.. got de-index by Google.. on one site, most of my articles are ranking first and second page.. now, nothing..

site:domain.com shows nothing.

Google webmaster says that the pages are 404s..

Spent over 6months building and backlinking it.. now, nothing.. any idea how to get them back? tips? didnt even know why google took it out, i was not doing anything wrong..

just the thought of redoing it for another 6months on a new site/domain drains the energy out of me... and i have bills/loans to pay.
This is the perfect time to quit.

404s sounds like you site is down.

Do you see it when you type your domain name?

I don't think you will ever get completely de indexed, unless you are doing some really black hat stuff like site cloaking.

man

I hate to see you quit.

could you PM me your URL so I can see if I can find your pages, I have Traffic Travis PRO.

I don't think you are de-indexed, in the sand box maybe. I had that heart break recently too but sites do come back from the sand box eventually.

Any way please post or PM me your domain.

Hi Jacaranda,

I understand how disheartening this is for you. I hope you can take comfort in the fact that this has happened to more than a few others here as well, and most of the time, it is only temporary. If you could post your URL and PM it to me, I will be happy to look into this for you.

jacaranda, I wouldn't worry about it unless it lasts for a long time, I have watched my site go from page 90 in search results to 70, to 50, to 20 then into the teens and was very happy about it then all of a sudden it didn't show up at all and believe me i looked then 2 days later it was back but they were back in the 20's for search results instead of the teens, I don't know what happens with google but I have been told this is common and has happened to me twice already and my site was started last september. at the same time I have never been missing in yahoo results and keep a steady clime with them. So don't quite just try and not get frustrated it is what i try and do even if it doesn't work often,

Being de-indexed is a completely different thing from disappearing from the search engines.. if you are de-indexed you have almost no chance of appearing even in the thousands of results anymore.

That's weird jacaranda, Google doesn't usually de-index a site for no good reason.. maybe you can try to think back of what changes you made to your site? And if you have Google Webmaster tools, I am sure they would have e-mailed you of some sorts to tell you why your site was de-indexed, if not you could always e-mail them to ask the reason why.

It's your singing site right? I still remember the url and yeah its deindexed.. :(

Chances are your site got hacked and the hacker made your site produce a lot of weird index.html pages... thats why the 404 errors.

that's one of the site.. i think 90-95% of my sites are gone. Say 70 domains, 65 are out! I already emailed Google via the 'reconsideration request' in the webmasters tool.. im not sure if the google folks are even reading those though. All i can think of is the Panda Update.

That link brings you to people who have been affected in terms of rankings due to the recent change in the alogorithm rather than being de-indexed.. like I said being deindexed is completely different from losing your rankings.......

kakaboo is right, being slaped down or put in the sand box are very different that being de indexed. Again I don think that you will be completely de-indexed.

The panda up date would not have gotten you de-indexed.

If the web masters tools sais that the sites had 404 error, it sound like they couldn't find your pages anymore.

I hope you get to the bottom of this.

Really sucks that this happend.

I wish you would post a domain of at least one of the sites that are de-indexed so we could take a look.

im quoting myself here after almost a year (don't give up on your old sites folks... check them once in a while)..
im saying here is that Google folks apparently do check the reconsideration request..

Recently (feb27) I once again submitted a reconsideration request.. stating that my content are unique and of high quality.. and that the only fault that I am seeing why their algo hit my site is the spun content out there that could have picked up my original site content..

I got a reply back by March 1 (yesterday) .. its a generic response but it still a reply:

I checked my rankings on Travis and saw that its is indeed indexed once again.. my former page1 keywords are on page 6 (ranking 50-55 spots).. but as mentioned

".... we have revoked this manual action. It may take some time before our indexing and ranking systems are updated to reflect the new status of your site."

So, im just gonna continue with the linking and monitor the rankings... this site currently have 500 or so subscribers when it got hit by the Panda last year.. hopefully the numbers will increase after this.

so, if you guys have some site that were deindexed but you know that it is a good site with quality and unique article, go ahead and submit a reconsideration request.. you will be surprised!

i already got 3 of them indexed.. this affiliate site is the third.. first two were adsense niche sites! this is the perfect time! Looks like they are actively checking.. watch the video here:

Good to see that your site has recovered.

I'm no expert on this situation but I think that it would be wise to not build links to it so soon.

Maybe we can get a better answer from some of our more seasoned marketers but if I were you, I would just let it sit for a while to be sure it doesn't get flaged by google.

Just a thought.
Never Give Up!!!
