Is it worth to buy SEO Spyglass?

Hi everyone,

Anyone has any experiences using the SEO Spyglass Professional by link-assistant?

Coz I have market samurai doing the seo competition for me. Sometimes I feel it is not that reliable. So I hope to get better estimates.

Heard about this tool from a friend of mine. Is it really worth to buy to analyze backlinks from competitors?

Any help?

Thanks.

I've only got the free version myself but It is certainly a useful tool. The free version only pulls backlinks from yahoo from my understanding, whereas the paid version pulls backlink data from a lot more sources and allows you to export the data. One thing to consider is yahoo site explorer is being discontinued from my understanding, so not sure what will happen. They may well switch over to majestic seo or they could already be using this for all I know.

The tool is worth while in my opinion, it gives good information on the links such as pr, anchor text, link type, if the link is still present as well as many other things. I usually use traffic travis first to quickly scan the top 10 results, then dig down with seo spyglass in to the top 3.

There is a free version you can try so that would be a good idea. One thing to be aware of with regard to the paid version is there is a monthly charge after the first 6 months. You can either pay the monthly charge every month or every 6 months or every year for a lower price.

It's not that obvious that they have this continued fee, so I understand why you could not find it.

Hi Wenching,

We have members who use SEO Spyglass and it is useful to have. It can help a lot with your SEO by showing you the backlinks and anchor text that competing sites are using, so you get to analyze them and figure out a strategy to help you get ahead of the competition.

It will cost you though so I suggest you look at other alternatives first like [ur=http://www.seoquake.com/]SEQuake[/url] for example. Also, bear in mind that SEO is not all about backlinks, anchor text, etc. There are other factors that can affect your page rank.

Hope this helps. Have a good day!

I almost forgot about seoquake add-in. Yeah, i have it here but i seldom used it. Is Seoquake provides accurate data too?

Yeah i agree i just used it for estimates only. After I am a beginner, just want to find a lower competition keyword first .. make some mistakes in the past by not checking the competition much earlier :)

need to figure how to make money :)
