I Feel Stuck at SEO

Hi everyone

I'v finished my first website and just hired someone to do SEO for me,
i know that it takes some time to get rank but at the mean time i feel like i;m stuck and don't know what to do besides wait for visitors to my site.
I know there are allot of marketing things to do
but because english isn't my firs language i outsource almost everything i do
and i don't wanna to invest any more money before i see some income!

Any suggestions anyone

You could come up with ideas on what content you will need in the future, what kind of posts you want to make, maybe do some research on what new topics you can introduce, how about any seasonal content.

You could start to build an e-mail newsletter, or learn about building one.

You could come up with some ideas about any products you can create, free and paid.

You could always learn about Conversion Optimization, it could potentially double your sales with just a few changes.

You could build your social profiles, a Facebook page, Twitter page etc., practice posting to them, learn how to gain followers.

You could learn about the Paid traffic options available, like PPC, PPV, Re-targeting Lists, etc.

You could learn about building a membership site or a forum, you might want to add one to your site later.

You could do some research on what your potential visitor Like to buy, Where they buy it, Why they buy it, all by doing some 'spying' on them in forums, and social sites, then you can know how to talk to them and help them buy from you better.

Making money online is Technology + Psychology, anything you can learn about those two things would be very helpful to your business. Technology being the technical side like SEO, WordPress. Psychology would be like Conversion Optimization.

If you want instant visitors there are many classifieds who usually help in getting visitors..And for SEO you need not wait for more months..just 3 months is enough i guess..

Hi asafaffiliate,

I suggest you make a checklist of the things you will need to do for your off-page SEO campaign.

Once you do, you can check the things you can do without hiring someone to do this for you. Some of the things you can remove are backlinking activities like bookmarking, forum posting, blog commenting and social media activities.

For your content, I suggest you look at PLR content if you will just use your content for off-page. However, make sure that you rewrite these content first so it will still be unique. Re-writing is easier. You can even do this. But if you want someone to do this, hiring a writer to rewrite content for you will be cheaper.

You mentioned, you hired someone who will do SEO for you. I suggest you also let this person teach you how to do SEO so you will know what to do the next time you want things done yourself. :)

My opinion is that for a new site SEO can’t be the main traffic source, and there are actually a lot of other things you can do to drive referral traffic, expose your products online and make them visible to the target audience.

First of all, use socially powered sites, like blogs, forums, Q&A and get referral traffic from there. I mean, you can go for paid advertising or simply join discussions and post comments, so that more people will learn about your company.

Besides, social media is one of the top referral traffic sources, so you should probably come up with an SMM strategy and see which social media platforms you can use to promote your products. Other than that, you may test the water in PPC, because it will give you insights for further SEO campaigns and lots of meaningful information in Google Analytics among other things (although you might need to hire another agency for this).

So, my point is that to get more traffic one can start with focusing on advertisement and referral traffic outside search engines, and then slowly move to SEO, after the company is present online for a while.

A perspective would be: don't push it so hard. Some times a rest is good.
For example you don't complain to the bank that 1 month until you get the interest you'll do nothing towards the money that are in the bank.
