Re: How To Get Dofollow Backlink From Facebook

Hi Aditya,

I don't think it's possible to get a dofollow link from Facebook. If it is, then it would be all over the internet, and Facebook would eventually close due to the spam, or Google will release an algorithm that targets sites with a lot of Facebook backlinks. It sounds ridiculous, but it's not implausible.

While you can't get link juice from Facebook, you can get traffic from it which helps increase your page rank too.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

There's also speculation that the search engines actually do look at "no-follow" links, meaning they take them into consideration but don't necessarily use them for ranking but just for figuring out what your page is up to.

There's also been long time speculation that eventually the SE's will either stop using links as a ranking signal or at least not use links as much as they are now, and that social data is going to replace links.

Because the theory is in the future no one will search to buy anything, they will ask friends and family first, look at reviews, look at social things, because they will become more and more suspicious of search results thanks to spammers and marketers ruining the results.

I think there's a big chance of this happening in the future, if it hasn't started already. Most information-sharing is done on social media sites these days and search engines are now looking at articles that get liked and shared as relevant to users. These articles tend to rank well in the SERPs precisely because they get much traffic from social media sites.

Have a good weekend!
