How easy is it to outrank Amazon and Youtube in SERPS?

Hello,

While doing keyword research, I have found that for many of the keywords I traget, amazon and youtube results are showing up multiple times on first page of google search results. How easy it would be to outrank them? Waiting for your inputs. Thanks in advance.

 Hi Deepak,

This depends on their page rank. If the links (YouTue/ Amazon links) have PR1-PR3, you have the chance to outrank them. But if they have higher PR than PR3, then try to find another keyword which you can rank for easily.

If you really want that keyword, you may also try to market in YouTube for that keyword so you have YouTube link result in SERPs.

Mary, when you talked about PR of the amazon and youtube search results were you refering to the PR of the landing page in the search results or the PR of the links going to the landing page in the search results?

Also do you think that Google is now putting more value into the PR of a page than they have before?

Page rank still matters (but not the same as it did years before). Nonetheless, page rank is still one of the determining factors in Google when it comes to ranking for a specific keyword/keyphrase.

Also, though many would say that page rank is irrelevant now and that this only serves as a "bragging" right for web owners, I do believe that when your site gains higher page rank, you know you're doing the right things in terms of quality.

So yes, page rank still has its importance. :)

I agree that a pages PR means very little anymore, I basically ignor it.
