 if the search has to do with SEO, sure, i have attended one of them in my nation and i really gained a lot from the conference; meeting successful SEO freelancers and internet marketers to give lectures/tutorials on how to do a good research on SEO.

 Hi there! I've been to a couple of SEO conferences in the past. And I think it's necessary since I've been constantly dealing with web contents and I need to be updated to the latest SEO trends so I can apply then whenever necessary...:)

 I've been a speaker at Search Engine Strategies and attended PubCon. I'd recommend either of those and also SMX. Not cheap, but a good way to quickly ramp up your learning about seo. The networking (talking/meeting others) was also valuable.
