Getting Indexed

Hey everyone... been following the Affiloblueprint program since it came out, I flew through the first four weeks of the course because I'm not new to building websites. I learned how to do keyword research as per Mark, and applied all lessons accordingly. I put up my website about a week or a week and a half ago, it's currently got 7 articles on it. I am currently in the process of submitting it to the directories using Directory Submitter, as instructed by Mark. I've submitted to about 30 or 40 different directories, but when I Google my site, using the exact name of the site (name.com), I still get zero results. Is this normal? It's been well over a week since I published the website, and it's been 3 days since I started listing it on the directory sites. Seems I've designed websites before, without doing anything at all, Google picked up on them within a few days or so. I know my website is not "spam", there is nothing spammy about it. The code is good, the content is good, and not duplicated... just wanting to see some results. Hard to see results though when Google refuses to index the darned thing LOL. Any input?

The reality of it all Chad is that the days of slapping of a quick site and cashing in on the Google goldmine are all but gone. Google is constantly changing and tweaking their algorithms to stay ahead of black hatters and spammers. Unfortunately the rest of us have to suffer the consequences, therefore the best thing for us to do is keep providing strong content on our
websites and blogs. Eventually the chaff will be separated from the wheat and we can get back to business of making money.

It's pretty easy to be indexed, and I'll give you 3 ways to do it.

Feel free to use all 3!

1. Add a comment to any blog in your niche (or a blog you read) with your link.

2. Write an article and submit it at goarticles.com or ezinearticles.com

3. Create a blogger or wordpress blog, ping it with pingoat.com, and you are done.

BONUS:

4. Submit your site to any of the social bookmarking sites (propeller.com is excellent)

You should be indexed in less than 1 week

Yes, articles are 250 words minimum.

You are providing basic information. Just imagine you are talking to a beginner and give him some tips. But do not give all you know to your readers because you want them to click on the link in your bio box to learn more.

lol, you sound just like me!! (see my post) It takes time I think it took me about 2 or 3 weeks before I was listed. In the mean time write articles and publish then in article directories also keep adding SEO friendly content and you will get listed. Make sure you have a site map and a privacy statement as well.

Anyway guys, make sure you give good content to the search engines, and most importantly to your visitors, this is the secret of success.

Heck, just look at affilorama. Mark created one of the best affiliate marketing sites on the whole Internet. THIS is providing good content. And affilorama is a highly successful website.

Also I have a new blog that's about a week old. I can't find it in google search results yet, but as of today it has a page rank of 2. Can anyone explain this?
It is http://howtogetridofacneforgood.blogspot.com/ if someone wouldn't mind taking a look at it.

You know , that's weird Franck, because when I made that post earlier it was showing a PR-2 and now for whatever reason it doesn't show any PR at all. I don't know what the deal is with that. Maybe Google's playing tricks on me :-)

Terry

p.s. You have a great blog BTW

Hello guys...and gals
I'm not an expert, but If it helps.

I found that when I submit my web pages to Propeller.com and Digg.com along with a few backlinks from a few relevant articles, it gets my pages indexed usually in less than a week. But as mentioned before, relevant content with high keyword density for your target keywords is VERY helpful.

Twitter.

Google loves twitter so just tweet about your page and put a link to it - Google will probably follow the link and find your site.
