Backlinks from social media sites:

Social media sites are huge source for traffic. Many sites provide no follow backlinks. But is there any social media site available which can give traffic as well as quality do follow backlinks to our websites?

 I don't think there is one. All of the popular social media sites are no-follow. I could be wrong though.

 Even no follow backlinks can bring good results I believe. I want someone like Cecille to answer this thread and say whether my belief is right.

 I read somewhere that social signals ( posts in social media sites such as Twitter, Google+,FB, Pinterest, Linked in etc) is now part and parcel of good SEO. Although these are no follow lnks, correct me if I'm wrong I think these are excellent tools that can drive traffic to your website. So, although they are no follow, they will still benefit you in the end.

 No way available to get do-follow links from social media. Social media can be useful to improve your site traffic. It can also be useful to make your product or services to much popular but can't be useful to get do-follow link.

 Social media sites are not for back link generation purpose. It is increase link visibility and popularity on SE. Major social media sites are not provide any kind of back links.

 Social media sites are not really for SEO. They somehow indirectly help your website get good ranking but in terms of using social media for SEO, no you won't get much benefit out of these sites.

However, you can get traffic directly from social media- thus you have social media marketing. You can use social media to get direct traffic. You can also use social media to build your brand and reputation. And you can use social media to build trust with your market.
