Backlink Rate for New Sites

Hey guys,
I have a question on backlinking to new sites to avoid the sandbox. My first site is still bouncing around and oftentimes disappearing from the top 50 spots for extended periods. I think I built links way too quickly and this is the result. Can anyone offer some guidelines on the speed in which to get links at different stages in a site's life.

Let's say I just put up a brand new site and posted 25 articles. I ping and get the site indexed within a few days. Now I add 25 spun articles in Unique Article Wizard and 25 spun articles into SEOLinkVine. Linkvine puts the articles out slowly over a long period of time.

UAW however allows me to choose from a wide range of speed in which to send out articles. I would like to know how fast I should set UAW to send out these articles. 2 a day? 5, 10? What do you guys think?

Also, does this number drastically change if I am doing this for a 5 or 10 page smaller site? Will more slow linking help avoid the sandbox? How about the Google dance?

I'm looking forward to reading your replies.

Hi Chris,

Building your links slowly has much better long term results than rushing through the process. I don't think building backlinks at an above average speed will get your site in the Sandbox. There are other factors that Google looks at like if your site is into link buying or automated backlinking. The Google Dance is when your website's rank fluctuate. This usually happens to new sites as Google tries to determine the new site's relevance to the keywords it is targeting. Actively promoting your new site and getting traffic to it will greatly help your site stabilize and get a PR.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Hi,

Your strategy is not overly aggressive at all. Stick with 2 day for UAW and just keep at it. Try to get some high quality manual links as well, even one or two a week will be good and remember that healthy site and ip diversity is important. Get links in different spots, don't always stick to one or two strategies.
