Is it easy to make sales through Facebook?

Does Facebook provide a great platform for sales generation? What is the method to market our products through Facebook? It seems more of a social networking site than a marketing portal. What do you think? What is your experience with Facebook as a advertising portal?

 from my experience, leads from facebook turn into buyers mush quicker than any other lead.. it works great for me if i am giving away something like a free ebook.

But if done correctly social media sites can give you plenty of traffic. The key is to engage your users/followers as much as possible. Share valuable information or helpful articles or webpages related to your niche.

 Yes Its really easy to sale through facebook because face book is a social media and it can help to get online traffic .. its been really use full as per marketing tools

 Facebook is a great place to target direct visitors. There are free ways to promote your business in Facebook by just being 'active' in this site- always post good, viral content, add people/followers. comment on other posts, and likes.

If you want to promote your page, you can try FB ads for a small fee to increase your reach.
