Commission Junction Sign-Up Question

Hi All,

When I go to join up with CJ, on their application for they request the URL of your website.

I have multiple websites each on different topics, so I will be promoting different product from each site.

I can’t see the point of adding in the 1 URL . Can anyone elaborate further

--Glen

PS I haven’t had a response back from CJ on this.

If memory serves me right... you can use any URL to sign up and then add more URLs later depending on which product you want? I'll let Mark or someone else make sure as I haven't used CJ much yet.

You can add your best looking site. don;t get mad with this, you can even be accepted without a site. However, it's better to add your URL.

I've been accepted without any problem.

They didn't think your website was credible then.

Are you from outside the US? I'm from India and I find that I get denied too.

How can you join without a website? I get denied each time I try and I too am outside the USA.
I would really appreciate an answer here.

Try adding any old website that looks decent and see if that works.

Hey Rick,

To sign up for CJ you really need a website. There's not really any way around it. And it needs to be (as Adrian said) a "decent looking" website. Not only that, but they'll often look at your site to see if it's relevant to the products you want to promote when they're deciding whether to let you into the affiliate program.

That's a lot of hoops to jump through just to be able to promote someone's product :)

If I were you, I'd be looking at some of the other affiliate networks that aren't quite so stringent. CJ is a network for pretty big companies and pretty big brand names, and I think you could have less hassle (and more money) from a smaller network like ClickBank.

Hope that helps,
Aletta
