Can promoting Amazon products really be profitable?

I am currently redoing my outdated websites and in the meantime I was watching the last couple webinars that Mark has had on.

Listing to Fred Lam was very interesting. For me, his example of selling the watch. and all with just a face book ad.

I thought (if possible) to get a direct link for a amazon product then create a face book ad.

only because I don't know what kind of company Fred was using (drop ship? wholesale?) Does anyone know, ware I can get some more info?

My email list is not huge and mostly inactive any way so paying for ads is the best option right now.

I don't think Fred was selling though Amazon, but selling items like Fred did with that watch example seams like great idea.

for those of you that sell amazon items though amazon associates, do any of you pay for ad space for your items?

I guess my question is can amazon be profitable in the same example Fred showed with selling that watch?

if you saw the first Fred Lam webinar it will be eaiser for you understand my question I think.

I should note I only was able to see about 90 minutes of the first webinar. if Fred did mention resourses

I have not watched the entire webinar but based on the modules that I have seen in IPro Academy, I am guessing that Fred is promoting various affiliate products (physical and digital).  Thanks. Ya I went though the last part of the we binary and both mark and Fred mentioned Ali express. Wich is a wholeseller

 OK so, after the third webinar today with mark and Fred I'm really excited to try his zero up model. I now know that shoply and aliexpress are two recommended companies.

What I gathered was you find a product on aliexpress create a face book ad for it and when people click the ad it will take them to your website that was built with shopfly the person orders the product then your notified and then you actually order the product with the customers information Correct?

 I didn`t watch Fred`s webinar but I know people who are earning in the thousands with Amazon.
That said, Amazon doesn`t look too appealing to me because the low commission rates (4-8% ....really), the 24hrs cookie and because in Romania they only pay by cheque.
In my opinion, you would be better off promoting Clickbank products.
