WordPress SEO by Yoast vs All in One SEO Pack

When I started Affiloblueprint, I was all out for the All in One SEO Pack. Right now I am all into WordPress SEO by Yoast.

This plugin has so many features that you even wonder why it's free. These include:

- Snippet of search engine results
- Page analysis that analyzes your keyword density, reading ease e.t.c.
- Facebook and Google+ metadescriptions that are different from the normal metadescription
- Ability to index or not index the specific article in search engines
- Many other awesome features

Anyway, what are your experiences with both these plugins? I think WordPress SEO takes the crown.

I've used both, but I definitely prefer the All in One SEO Pack. It is much easier to use than Wordpress SEO by Yoast, and it optimizes all of the Wordpress titles and descriptions perfectly. This plugin is essential if you are running Wordpress, and you want to optimize your SEO meta tags.

By default, you can't optimize your Wordpress description tags, which is a very big weakness and disadvantage for search engine rankings. This is one of the reasons I started my affiliate marketing ventures using HTML websites only.

Hi,

Another vote for All In One, it may not have as many features, but that's a good thing as you can get the job done quickly and move on!

Both SEO Yoast and All-In-One SEO do basic on-page SEO and both are great tools.

Although Yoast has more features, that doesn't meant that All in One SEO is less powerful. I prefer All In One SEO pack because it provides what I need and it’s easy to set up. Just choose one that works best for you. :)

Thanks a lot for your responses.

I forgot to add that Yoast also creates a sitemap for you so you won't have to install a sitemap plugin.

Anyway, I see most guys here prefer All In One SEO pack.

I still feel like Yoast is much better but agree with Michelle that whatever works for you is okay.

O have to say, I am on the other side of the fence. I have been using Yoast Wordpress SEO for about 6 months now, and it has now replaced the SEO plugin on all my sites. Granted, I haven't used All in One for over 3 years, before I was using Platinum SEO. However, I was able to eliminate several other plugins by adding the Yoast SEO. It handles my webmaster tools (all in one Webmaster deleted) Sitemap ( Google sitemap gone) and SEO (Platinum seo/all in one seo deleted)

your site load speed and ease of use is largely dictated by how many plugins you have running so if you have one plugin that reduces the workload, it will make it much easier. Plus, I like the SEO analysis that it does, which is very similar to what Traffic travis looks for, but can be done as I publish a new post, eliminating some of the guesswork.

Thanks jmpruitt,

Glad to see someone on my side. Actually if you check most current online reviews by people who have used both like me, most tend to prefer Yoast as opposed to All in One. In fact it greatly increased my SEO and site load speed as you have rightly said.

For those against it, try it objectively in your new site and post back here what you think.

Yoast or all in one seo which is better?

Both plugins are very good so just choose the plugin that has the features that you need ;)

All the best!

Decided to check out Yoast again with a new site. It has been updated and seems much less cumbersome than before, looking good and the reduction of necessary plugins is definitely important!
