Mini Niche Site, or Page Linking, that is the Question....

I am seeing a lot of chatter recently about mini-niche sites. Probably because of CWS launch.

Anyway, what I'm wondering is how much of an advantage is that over linking to a page on a current website.
I'm referring to all free traffic sources.

These are just examples, I don't know if they are real websites or not, but how much better would

be than

?
I'm struggling with this. I have a general niche, and want to make specific pages, not really separate websites.
Actually, I already have some specific niche pages within the site, but am not seeing much results yet. Haven't put enough effort into getting traffic yet.

Thanks
Stacie

I do mini niche sites (Blog) targeting a single key word.
Easy to get in the top ten on Google with little or no back links. i hate building back links, and if I am going to take the time to write an article it's going on my blog to draw in some long tail key words; straight to the money page.

If you make a blog with different pages targeting a sub-niche, I think you are going to have to do alot of backlinking. For me the time spent building back links would be better use to make a new blog.

I just recently registered the Domain affiliate project x dot org. Not really even trying and only half finished when I was distracted doing something else; it is on page one on Google. When I do get around to finishing it an add 1 or 2 back links I think it will go to the top three, easy peasy lemon squeezy.

I also just registered adwordsebook.org. The PPC guys are paying $4US per click for the term "adwords ebook". Good feeling about this one.

Good luck, hope I helped.

Jcdean,

Thanks for your reply. This does help. One thing I don't have a lot of is time right now. Can you also give me some advice on what domain extensions to stay away from for this method? What about .biz or .net?

Thanks

Every one says it has to be a .com .net or .org
I tend to believe that.
