EZA or any directory which keyword to anchor text link?

Hey All,

I'm wondering when I'm posting articles to EZA for instance.

In my resource box I'm creating 2 anchor text links.

1 says (click here)

the other is the (keyword) that I've optimized in the article.

Is that right or should that keyword be the one that I'm optimizing for on the site that I'm pointing to?

Let me try to clarify.

Let's say my blog is about koi fish.

I'm trying to get a link to a post about (Japanese Koi Fish) on my blog.

The article that I wrote is about (American Koi Fish) let's just say.

- In the Resource Box

The (click here) hyperlink will point to allaboutkoifish.com/JapaneseKoiFish

Should the 2nd hyperlink be for (American Koi Fish) or (Japanese Koi Fish) ?

Hope my question makes sense.

Thanks,

Stiz

It is a good idea to vary your anchor text so that your link building looks natural to search engines. Try to make an effort to have many of your anchor text links match your keyword phrase, though, just not ALL of them.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks cterao

That's the part that I'm not clear about.

Should the anchor text on the article page match the main keyword of the article?

Or should the anchor text on the article page match the main keyword of the post on the blog that I'm pointing to?

Yes, your question makes sense.

If your page is about (American Koi Fish), your anchor text should be: American Koi Fish

This is for the first couple of links. And as said above, it's good to vary the anchor text from time to time.

As for your (click here), in the beginning, it would be better to point to another page of your site with the right anchor link.

Later on, when you get 3000 uniques a month from the se's, you can start giving a call to action.

And for your last question:

"Should the anchor text on the article page match the main keyword of the article? "

No.

"Or should the anchor text on the article page match the main keyword of the post on the blog that I'm pointing to?"

Yes. This is it!

All the best,
