Buying traffic - give them affiliate links - would it work?

Hi,

I was looking at a site today that sells traffic, they charge $12.50 for 10000 unique visitors.
I was wondering, if you give them one of your affiliate links instead of your website url, would you get any sales?
I know the visitors aren't targeted & my site will probably open as a pop-under, but is it worth trying or not?

I've seen people offer to send your email to 1 million people SPAM FREE. But of course, it's rubbish.
