Understanding Conversion Rates

In "The Top 6 Super Affiliate Millionaire Secrets" is an explanation of conversion rates:

Now, let’s say the conversion rates are as follows:
Page a: 2% (i.e. 2% of people who visit this webpage buy a product you recommend)
Page b: 10%
Page c: 2%
Pages d-z: 0.1%
Overall then, your conversion rate is: 0.37%

Somebody please help me with the math.

How do I get to 0.37%?

It's an average of the 4, even though it didn't come out to exactly .37% when I worked it... close enough for understanding the example.

I am not gifted with significant knowledge in math as well, but I suggest you understand first the exchange rates before you do the calculation. This way, getting the exact rate is attainable. Just bear in mind that the values of exchange rate can vary from time to time.

Look.
In the example there are 26 pages - page a through page z.

Two of the pages are 2%, one is 10%, the rest are 0.1%.

If I average them, I get 0.6%.

Is there an accountant in the house? :)

Hi drummondgrandpa,

I think it's an average of the conversion rates for all the pages. But yes, they do not equal to .37%. I will look into the report and check with senior staff.

I appreciate your patience. All the best!
