How Can I Split-Test My X-Site Pro Site?

Hey Guys,

I have a site on Xsite Pro and I want to Split Test my Sales letter.

Is there any way that I can do this in google optimizer?
I was looking it over and there is a section that requires
I put a tracking code on the conversion page, but the problem
is, is I dont have access to the conversion page since I'm just
promoting someone else product.

not sure how to get around this.

Any thoughts?

Hi Aus,
So you are wanting to have a different webpage rotate between each visitor?
or do you want to track conversions of a certain 2 pages?

Both, if that's possible. i'd like to have two different sales pages, rotate evenly between my traffic so I can determine which one is more profitable.

Although that doesn't seem possible with google optimizer since I'm not the vendor of the product.

Hi Auscast,
That's fine, Just email the merchant and ask them if they can put your conversion code on their website.
Some will do this and some won't.
You can do an A/B split test with GWO no probs.
Just put the first URL in and the second URL in and it will divide the traffic 50/50
The code goes in the "scripts" in xsitepro.

So i dont need to use the last code that asks you to put it on the conversion page?

From memory, no you don't.
You can just do the A/B split test.

Well buddy it doesn't work. You need to have a Conversion page in order to see what page is converting, and which one's aren't.

Any other ideas?

I don't think asking the vendor to constantly add a new code every time I want to split test is going to be very effective either.

Hi,
Hmmm, actually come to think about it you need to see the conversion page to see what page is most popular..
No use sending 50/50 traffic to 2 different pages as that doesn't provide any data other than just splitting the traffic.
Unfortunately with affiliate marketing you need to contact some vendors to get them to put a tracking code on their website.
That's just the way it is.
The only other option is to make your own redirect page and have a code on that page.
When the visitor gets passed through the redirect page to the last payment page it tracks it as a conversion.
