Any good tools for evaluating Advertiser Competition?

Is there a good tool or method that can help find out what the advertiser competition is like for a certain market?
Any help would be great!

Aside from advertiser competition, what is a good gravity # a certain product should have, is 50 and up good?

There is one program that I have some experience with called Affiliate Elite. It pretty mush does exactly what you're asking for, from checking on the competition to complete analysis of how a particular product is performing. This includes the gravity and other factors. My only thing was when I bought it I was nowhere near ready to start any kind of actual marketing campaign,However I will be firing it back up in the near future.

Hope that helped,

I think Spyfu offers some intelligence too.

Re: gravity -

50 might be good - if its holding stead or slowly rising.

On the same hand a gravity of 3 might be better - if its a new offering with a good product - it will continue to rise...

A product with a gravity of 229 started out as 0 - they all do...

Hey,

Use traffic travis to generate a large keyword list for yourself in your target niche. Then put those keywords into the ppc tools area and you can analyze your competition and see who your top competitors are and what keywords they are bidding on.

Mark

Hey Joey,

what was the video called, I have been toying with traffic travis, but how do you put the words into the ppc tools and is the info easy to read. I really have not picked a niche, so i have been studying the market research section of the lessons so I can see how different markets are doing, by seeing if there is any competition, like the videos say "to see if its a healthy market." But in order to study my competitors I need to learn how to read the data that the tools are throwing me.

I hope I am on the right track, thanks everyone for the awesome insight you all have given me, it is greatly appreciated!

Mario - this is one of the videos in the Affiliate Extreme course from Mark - if you watch those - you cant go wrong...

If you haven't chosen your first niche yet - do some research on the 'cellulite' niche - I can help you with that one if you like what you see... I just released a new product in CB...

Best,
Joey

Do you have to have a premium membership to view the Affiliate Extreme course, because I don't see it under the Lessons tab.

To find the competition, keyword spy is not bad. I just found an amazing niche (I'm playing with it right now).

There is a free trial, you only get 20 results, but it's still worth it.

I also like traffic travis. As Mark said, it's excellent to build a keyword list from scratch.
