SEO: Drupal vs Wordpress. . . Which is better?

Noobie to affilorama here. . .

I have a lot of experience with drupal (I can build custom themes, develop basic modules etc.), but I do not have a whole lot of experience with wordpress. I have read some articles that imply that wordpress is way more SEO friendly immediately, where as Drupal is better for SEO in the long run. Not sure how or why. . . Has anybody done any testing or have any experience with this?

 I'd be interested to hear feedback on this as well. I have used Drupal as well as Joomla more than Wordpress.

 Hi Ash,

I am not familiar with Drupal or Joomla. I tend to stay away from anything too technical. :) Wordpress is user-friendly, and the interface is not overwhelming to someone with no HTML knowledge and just starting their first site. There are a lot of SEO plugins you can use in your Wordpress sites and I think all these factors combined gave Wordpress the reputation of being more SEO-friendly.

 I admired so much on wordpress default plugins its very user friendly and SEO friendly too. Where as snippet preview is using to preview our content before posting it on the page. This way the plugin will help to increase PR of our page and also Organic search term.

 Hi,

If you understand proper on-page SEO and Silo structures you can use any CMS that you want (unless it doesn't allow you to create the proper structures...). With Wordpress or Drupal it is possible. Wordpress might be easier.

 According to wordpress is best because it has many features with lots of expressive themes and it is available in 50 over languages, and you can share in mobile , social networking sites,etc.
