Mark's WOW Font

Hi,

I was wondering what is the font that Mark uses in the WoW site for the animated GIFs - for example, the one used for the "Ultimate WoW Guide" image in http://www.wowblackbook.com/world-of-wa ... -guide.php.

Thanks,

Will

Will,

I suggest you go here: http://www.dafont.com/ and choose whatever font you like. Download it and install it in your PC so you can use it when designing your website.

Thanks, Renato. I know about dafont.com as it was mentioned in the videos. However, I could not find the same font as used by Mark. It seems to be a special font which has two colors, which makes it really easy to read even when it is against a background image. I hope somebody else can tell me what that font is.

Through my powers of psychic font picking..lol I think it's called- Relay Medium - font.
That's if your talking about the white writing that changes.

Thanks, Troy. I did find the Relay Medium font - which made me realize that it's not a specific font that's required but rather the Outline Effect, where each letter is in a dark color and is outlined in white. This is what makes the text stand out from the image.

Does anyone know how this is done? I have played with the outline effect in Paint.net but can't get it to look right. (The page I'm referring to is http://www.wowblackbook.com/world-of-wa ... -guide.php).

Thanks.

I found that it's a lot simpler to do this in Photoshop rather than Paint.net. Anyone interested, here's the instructions: http://www.ehow.com/how_4581880_outline-text-photoshop.html .

Thanks to everyone who replied.

Yeah in Photoshop is easy but some people aren't able to spend a grand for it..
Should be relatively the same in Paint.net
If not let me know.. will try to point you in the right direction to do it in paint.
Also look up in google.. there are heaps of free tutorials for Paint.net
Keep in mind that it may not look the same as Marks as the different blending options and layers are more numerous in Photoshop.

Hey guys, thanks for your replies.

Rod, the Morpheus was used for the header logo. What I was trying to find out was the one used for the animated GIFs.
