how to set up internal links

hi

I would like to organise my blog so that there is a content page at the beginning which if you click on takes you to the relevant post ... or other relevant posts within the blog. I have seen thisnmethod used very often and wonder if anyone can suggest a clear how to tutorial I can refer to ( ir need to be relatively non techi since i am quite new to this... also a slow starter , so Ive been a newbie for some time )

Hiya

I just highlight the words i want to link and then press the insert/add link icon and you'll see a list of existing content (your posts and pages) click on one and voila it's linked. is that what you mean?

Perfect .. thanks so much... just one other query : where is the insert link icon ? what does it look like and where do I find it ?

The one that looks like a chain link (with a broken chain link next to it) on the tool bar of where you edit your stuff. Hope that explains it.

Hi Caro,

You will need to upload first your video in the media library section of your WP panel then after successfully uploading the video, you may go to your post, click edit then click the insert media icon (this is the camera icon in the post editor tab) to insert your video in the post.

For YouTube videos, you just need to get the embedded link/code and then paste this code directly to your post.

Another option in adding videos to your Posts/Pages is to use video plugins like the Wordpress Video Plugin and the Viper's Video Quicktags.

Others find it easier to use plugins for videos as you do not need to use codes anymore. Also, most plugins have extra features and options for customization.

For sharing buttons, you may look at the following plugins below:
