HostGator "under construction" page

last week I got my name servers that hostgator sent me after I set my acct up. and went over to godaddy where my domain name is registerd and went in and changed them over. Been busy til today to jump back inot things and when i type in my domain url I get a blank white page. When I watch the video and see Aletta do the same process she says a hostgator page should come up (in a sense an "under construction" page) when you type your url in your browser.
Since my domain url only pulls up a blank white page did I do something wrong?

hmmm,
There could be a few reasons for this.
1. Have you typed in the correct name servers
2. Is your hostgator acct paid up ( valid )
3. In your hostgator account, what is the index page or parked page.
4. What browser are you using IE, firefox, safari ?
What is the URL?

Troy,
(1) I have confirmed I typed in the correct name servers over at my godaddy acct. and directed the domain to hostgator.
(2) Yes My host gator acct is paid up, just got it last week on the 20th.
(3) Not sure what you mean here, can you explain?
(4) I am using Safari but I have XSite Pro2 on the my PC that I am using to build a review site. I get the blank white page no matter what browser I use (Firefox on the PC, Safari on my mac)

So, you have not uploaded anything from xsitepro?
All you have done is point the name servers?

Correct Troy, I have not done anything except pint the name servers. I just started building the site last night and wasn't planning on uploading it for a few more days, mostly due to this issue I am discussing here, thinking it needed to be fixed before I did upload the site.

Ahhhh Ok,
Go daddy is pointing toward your hostgator site.
If you have not uploaded anything to your hostgator account you will get a ' page can not be displayed' message.
The reason for this is your pointing to a site that does not exist.
Not sure why you're getting the blank page though.. unless you changed the .index page from within your hostgator site.. but I don't think so as you said you didn't do anything else other than point to the server.

I would upload your site from xsitepro as this will overwrite what you have there now.
If you want me to take a look and you are really really stuck, let me know.
I am very busy, but don't mind helping out fellow members.

Regards
