Compact my HTML

I just finished my site and I am thinking of compacting every page so I will get better loading time. Can you tell if there are disadvantages in doing so?

 Can you tell us how you will compact your HTML? In principle, that would be okay, just make sure that the functionality of your site will not be affected.

 I can't think of any disadvantages to speeding up your site.

Have you signed up to Google Webmaster Tools and submitted your site? This gives you some pointers on how you can speed up the load times of your pages

 You could install the W3 Total Cache plugin to dramatically improve the speed and user experience of your site :)
