Tracking links pointing to vendors site

Hi, i am doing some test. I am posting articles to article directory sites and also in some froums but i am putting links that point directly to the merchants site (with my ID of course).

How do I know how many clicks those links have gotten?

Is there a free software for that?

Is that possible?

Can anyone help me?

 Hi finalbusiness5000,

If you are using Clickbank affiliate links then they have hoplink tracker that can help you see how many have clicked on your affiliate links. You can see this when you log in to your Clickbank account.

I think other affiliate networks have a similar tracking tool that you can use. Some vendors that have their own affiliate network have this too.

 Hi,

If you are using Wordpress, you can track any link using the free Pretty Link plugin. Highly recommended.
