As for traffic yes, you can get traffic through social media sites.

 I tend to suppose that social media actually is good for everything whether it's seo or various marketing campaigns. I guess that social media today are so spread that it's almost impossible to avoid its influence. That's why literally everything which somehow can be connected with seo and marketing happens in social media. It's obvious that social media helps marketers to increase convrsions and boost sales, nevertheless I believe that one day will be created new tools for running marketing campaigns, which will also so spread as social media. In my opinion, people become lazier with the development of social media, despite the fact that they are very helpful.
