Getting sites indexed - Will a link from my blog be enough?

Ok so I have 23 pages in my site, and I'm planning on just going ahead and publishing next Tues. I still have a bit of optimizing to do on some of the pages.

My question here is, is a link from my wordpress blog to my site enough to start getting my site indexed? And also, how do you predate your entries in Wordpress when I'm trying to seed my blog. It's kinda ****ing me off.

I'll predate it where I figure it should be, but then when I publish the post it still comes back with the current date. Anybody with any answers. Thanks guys and would appreciate! Davin

 You only need 1 link from another site to start getting indexed.
