Trouble with Adwords

Hi

I was advertising with Google Adwords and have been suspended after 2 days! I am new to AM so decided to start slow and just promote a product I knew so that I could ease into it. Everything seemed to be going OK but then my ads stopped showing.

I contacted the support and got and instant automated reply telling me I had numerous violations of the advertising policy and to read the T&C. I tried emailing back but got no reply. Yesterday I gave the welcome phone number a call and spoke with a rep. He told me he could see nothing wrong so that it must be something to do with another linked account. I told him that I don't have any other accounts to which he told me that he would get a specialist to look at it.

I then got an email a few hours later telling me that the specialist has looked at my account and confirms that they can not un suspend me. I still do not know why? I only got 1 warning as I had used an apostrophe on 2 lines of my add and I could only use one. I corrected this within 5 mins of get the warning.

From my understanding the suspension is all encompassing and is indefinite. Is 2 days a record for getting banned? Do I have any way of solving this or should I just cut my losses and move on? All help and advice is welcome

cheers Jon

They should tell you exactly why. You got a phone number, that's a bonus. Give them another ring and ask for a specific reason.

My account got banned, they told me I had to edit the " bad aff website". So, I took down all mention of the ebook and product. All the links. etc. Just so they would re-instate my adwords account. Important as I have family brick and mortar websites I promote.
Even when I said, Okay I will stop promoting that website and product. Doesn't matter they still want that specific website changed. The changes they want, Its like putting a needle behind the eye and making the brain numb. The website is useless now. They are like hitler with their power.

But, I still haven't got a reply. Sent it in for a review twice now. numerous emails and its been like 4 months now. Even when I have spent over $30,000 US with them over the last 2- 3 years and get no respect. Gee.

Good luck, you will need it with them.

UPDATE: I asked for some clarity and the opportunity to learn from my mistakes and any inadvertent wrong doing.

I received the following:

"Your Google AdWords account has been suspended due to multiple disapprovals.
Upon review, we've determined that this account suspension was made in
accordance with AdWords policy and procedure. For this reason, we aren't
able to revoke your account suspension and won't accept advertisements
from you in the future."

I seem to have entered into a cyclic discussion now and still none the wiser as to what I managed to do in just 2 days. I was promoting a 3rd party product, I don't even own a website I just directed to this one. Seriously I must be some kind of criminal mastermind to have done this with one ad campaign!

I only got 74 clicks...................

I've gone down a similar road. I got banned for sending traffic to a third party site the novelnetwork.com After a couple of months of pestering Google I got someone to tell me that this is the site causing my suspension. I sent fewer than 200 clicks to the site and the ads hadn't been active for several months when I got suspended.

The only way to get reinstated was to get the site to change their site pages and take out references to newspapers. Apparently the newspapers that you can download from their site are free on other sites so charging people to join the site is against Googles TOS even though the point of the site is to download books and magazines that aren't free.

Good luck, keep pestering

Hope the guys here can sort out a strategy with PPC - very nervous to use it as so many members have reported getting burnt.

I don't know why you guys even bother with Adwords. Google clearly doesn't like affiliates, even though they won't admit this in their terms and conditions. Why don't you guys try Facebook instead? I know that you can target your ideal prospect much more accurately and I have heard that they actually have nothing against affiliates.

I got a reply!!!

Google does not like promotion of 3rd party products from 'mirror sites'. Essentially if you are not running your own, google compliant website then Adwords will suspend you. If it hasn't happened yet it will once the logarithms (sorry, "specialists") find you.........In my case 2 days!!

Easyrider is right, so I am cutting my loses and looking at other options (facebook, bing, etc)

Hope this helps
