Hi Ray,

Buying and selling websites, popularly known as website flipping, is one way to earn online. You can create a site, monetize it, then sell it for a good price. You can buy websites, tweak them so they either look better than before, or monetize them, then sell them off at a higher rate.

Flippa.com and DigitalPoint.com are some of the popular sites for buying and selling websites. You may refer to the following page on a general guideline on how to go about buying and selling websites: How To Make Money Buying and Selling Websites

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Great Article, thanks for sharing. This point in the article, was a good point," For transaction purposes, do not allow the website owner to value the website based on foreseen “potential”. This is because if such potential existed, they would not be selling it in the first place." I think that makes great sense!!!

Actually, Digitalpoint and Flippa are the ones should look out for. The following article states that Flippa charges high fees and that Digitalpoint is something to avoid;

There are many market places to sell your website, but not all brokers are reputable. Some, charge high fees that do not make sense for small sales (i.e., avoid flippa.com) or are so full of outsourcing scam and spam ads (avoid digitalpoint.com) that it will make attracting a good buyer harder.

Also, watch out for people who ask you to get a website appraisal. They will refer you to a service (that is actually their own) and once appraised they will not even buy your website. The whole trick was just to make money off of you through their appraisal service.
