The Money Is In The List

You've probably heard people say that "the money is in the list". Well, this is certainly true! Building up a large email list might seem like it could be a frustrating process, but trust me - it's worth every bit of effort.

Here's why you need to start building your list(s):

• Get repeat customers. Someone who comes to your site and purchases without joining your list may never come back again. However, a list subscriber could potentially buy two, three, four, or five different products from you (maybe even more). Provided you've got a great autoresponder sequence and an active list, they will keep buying from you over and over again.
• Lower buying resistance. It can be incredibly difficult to tempt customers into buying from you in the first instance. However, with repeated mailings their buyer resistance will lower, meaning more sales for you. It can sometimes take customers ten viewings of your offer before they decide to buy - but with a list you can continue to soften their resistance.
• Build passive income. Once you've got a large list and a good autoresponder series, you can literally sit back and watch the money roll in. You'll reach a point where you can calculate that each new lead is worth $5 per year, for example. At this rate, with 10,000 list members you would make a passive income of $50,000 per year. All I have to do now is "set and forget", using simple squeeze pages and opt-in forms.

Perhaps the only thing more important than building up your list is ensuring that you are making attractive websites that are jam-packed with content that adds value for your readers. These days if you want to do well as an affiliate marketer, then you need to build websites that look great and offer lots of useful content and information to visitors. Provided you can do this, then you will have a far greater chance of finding affiliate marketing success!
