Recent Theme update adds partial photos to all my posts

Since the theme update and Wordpress update, all my posts now have the featured image slapped at the top of the post. I have already embedded the images I want in these posts months and months ago.

When I "remove featured image" the system simply picks another image out of my post and slaps that (without any concern for my formatting) at the top of my posts.

How do I stop this from happening??? I just want things the way they were before I was forced to update. Here is my url - please click through to any post and you will see what I mean: http://31dayweightlossplan.com

Please help - I have other things to work on besides fixing all these glitches every time there's an update.

After further playing around...

If I specify a featured image - it slaps the image at the top of my posts.

If I don't specify a featured image, I have a choice to check box in AffiloTheme> Design > Post Settings to "Use any attached image if no Featured Image specified, or not.

If I check the box: it still slaps another image at the top of my posts.

If I don't check the box, I don't get thumbnails of the posts on my category page.

I think someone needs to re-work this theme.
