Changing wordpress layout

Hi,

Well I have wordpress  it was also in the affilorama hosting, but is there an easy way to change the layout and colors and ad images besides the blog borders, i also saw some adsense besides the blog borders somewhere. But I noticed that I have to read A LOT to figure out how to do those things

So can someone provide me with some information about how to change it easily or tell me where to start reading

Cheers Simone

To understand Wordpress layouts, you have to have a foundation in HTML and CSS (and some PHP).

If you don't want to deal with all of this, you can use a Wordpress template maker like Rapid Niche Websites by Jeff Walters.

Hi Simone,

Like Nichefinder said you have to have an understanding of code to
make most changes. Some wordpress themes are easier than
others to modify, some are near impossible it seems

Wordpress is my favorite website builder but when I started using it
there were very few themes available. I HAD to learn how to customize
or be stuck with what was available.

I’m a non-techie, if I can do it so can you. Just be prepared to
spend some time with it. I'm no expert by any means but I can find my
way around any themes code - it was a skill that was well worth the
effort to learn.

You can find some tips on customizing wp at:
(http://www.wpdesigner.com/category/tutorials/) and
(broken link removed)
Always make sure that you make copies of your original theme files
before you start modifying- that way if a change doesn't work you can
immediately go back to your last working copy.

If you need some help and you already have a theme picked out, post
your site or theme name and we can try to help you make your changes.

If you are less inclined to spend the time experimenting, you may
want to find a theme that has built in customization - that is, there
are color changes built right into the theme so you just push a
button!

You can find a boat-load of themes here:
(http://www.emilyrobbins.com/how-to-blog ... ad-266.htm)
You won't find a theme viewer there so you have to click thru to look
at each of the themes, its a little work but worth the effort in
finding the perfect theme for your use.

Hope that Helps,
