google index question

This may be a "duh" question for some of you but I am honestly curious about submitting my site to google and indexing it's pages. Do i just submit just my home page, or do I submit each individual page? I know my goal is to rank for as many keywords and therefore pages as possible but for me raises the question of it needing to be manually submitted or not. If this is referred to in the blueprint please tell me where it is stated, thanks =)

you dont have to submit your site to google, they will find you. wordpress has a built in ping feature that notifies google every time you update your site.
now, if you are talking about link building, you should build links to every page that you want ranking in search.

I think I found my answer. "Only top level-page" means the homepage, correct?

Is it not good to submit? This is very interesting to me since I found that link. My logic here is: why is it better to wait for my website to be found rather than for me to go to them and show them? Perhaps its better, but so far that is not clear. Which is the better deal? *as noted by higher benefit than doing the other*

it shouldn't matter which one comes first... the more you do the better it is for your site... main thing is keep on promoting your site by building backlinks and writing fresh contents and updating it regularly ... you will be indexed eventually... your success won't happen overnight so don't be too concerned about been indexed or not... if you start building backlinks to high authority website your chances of getting indexed will be higher and better quality to increase your site ranking... hope this helps.
