Other than Google PPC, what are some of the top ways for paid advertising?

 Hi Jason,

You can try Facebooks advertising. There's also Microsoft advertising for Bing. There are several other networks offering advertising for specific sites like Paid Discovery for StumbleUpon.

Appreciate the feedback. We are 5 days into our first site and was wondering if you could take a look at the layout. We are blogging new and relevant material twice a day and slowly adding different affiliate products. Just need some feedback to see if we are on the right track and if you had any professional advise for the site Obviously it will take some time to get any type of rankings, but that's ok. No successful venture is overnight. Takes a lot of consistency and hard work!

You have things like solo emailing, cpv also known as ppv, banner advertising is stiff effective, newspaper ads are a great way to get traffic. You might include that in the paid classifieds section. There are others as well. Key is to pick one or two and that you want to get into more and then just stick with those until you can generate a return.

 Even though Google AdWords is probably the most popular (and the most expensive) PPC advertising network, I think everyone tried to look for alternatives to it. Here's a good post on the topic - http://www.ppchero.com/10-alternatives- ... le-adword/.
It covers pros and cons of some well known alternatives (AdRoll, Infolinks), as well as less obvious options. Hope this will be of some help.

 Facebook ads work really well for some website niches and since they are highly targeted, you are likely to get really good traffic by using these. You can set such ad variables as location and age of Facebook user that you want your ad shown to. In this way, you can be sure your ads are targeted to the smallest niche group possible, ensuring the best response.
