Are there too many social media sites now?

The number of social media sites is definitely on the rise. That would mean distraction for the online marketer as to which one to choose and which one to leave. Is it a healthy trend? Are marketers safe when the social sites are increasing in number by the day? Advertising the same website in different social media sites affects the reputation of the marketer I believe. Any comments?

I do not think the rise of social media sites is a bad thing at all. In fact, as a marketer, the more choices you have the better it is for you and for your marketing campaigns.

If you are confused of which site you would like to market in, I suggest you try them all and see how the market reacts from there. Sometimes, you will be surprised which site brings you better conversion.

 Social media nowadays best platform to increase engagement and most of the traffic any business gain from there. I don't think increasing social sites
a negative point for any business. Instead of this if you can present anywhere then this is good for your brand and people easily find your service and a trusty relationship is built with the audience.
