Should I Add Rel=No Follow to Footer Links

Hi Everyone,

Is it a good idea to add rel=no follow to your privacy policy, disclaimer, contact pages etc. I've heard it's good to prevent losing link juice to pages that aren't that important, is this correct?
If so, where do I add the rel=no follow code. Is it done in the custom scripts box where I've added the links and where exactly should the code go?

 Yes, most of us are using the same Privacy Policy and Disclaimer pages so it is best to add a nofollow and noindex tags to these pages.

 Ok, thanks, I've read the threads you suggested but it still doesn't tell me where to put the rel=no follow tag. I'm using the Affiloblueprint theme in wordpress so do I put the code in the custom scripts box where I've added the footer links?

 Hi Catmar,

If the links were added in the custom script box, you can add the rel="nofollow: from there. See my example below:



Or you may also install a nofollow plugin such as the "Ultimate Noindex Nofollow". This plugin allows you to add a 'noindex' 'nofollow' on selected posts on your website.

 rel=no follow doesn't uses for link ranking and indexed the links to page...
