Editor Buttons Disappeared After Updating Wordpress

After word-press update all of the kitchen sink / word processor settings have disappeared
on the post settings.

Now wordpress.org doesn't have the older version of wordpress on their site to download

so I m kinda screwed

I need to get this fixed quickly, as I cant edit my post

ideas?

can anyone confirm that affilotheme is broken with latest wordpress update?

 Sorry I can't help you directly, since I have not updated to the latest WordPress version myself and therefore have no experience with it.

Someone on the WordPress forum might be able to help.

But it sounds like you updated WordPress without making a full backup first (as the WordPress docs stress you must)? If you had a full backup from before your update, you could restore it.

Have you asked your web hosting service if they have a backup they can restore for you?

Please everyone - read the "WordPress Codex" (online manual) about how to fully backup your WordPress blog and DO make regular periodic full backups down from your web server to your local computer. Don't tempt fate!

I apologize for the delay in responding to your post. We rolled out an update to Affilotheme (version 4.01544) a few weeks back and you need to apply this update before updating Wordpress.

Have you tried uninstalling Affilotheme then reinstalling it? If you are still having the same issue, please get in touch with us through the contact form in our support page.

 I am having this problem also. I tried uploading the theme to two different sites on two servers, same problem. The window where you edit posts cannot be used. The wysiwig editor disappears. How can I fix this. I have updated versions of wordpress and Afillotheme. Please help!

 Okay! Solved my own problem. I'd blame society but actually it was user error.

My problem occurred because I was uploading the entire affilotheme, and what actually worked was to unzip the download, find affilotheme2 and rezip that, and then ftp it to the wp-content/themes/ folder, then use cpanel to extract, and boom, it worked.

I'm just getting going with this theme so excuse user error, but thought I'd post solution that worked for me in case anyone else ran into this issue.

 Hi marckolius,

I'm glad to hear the issue has been resolved and you were able to install the Affilotheme on your site/s. We recommend installing the theme through the control panel by uploading the zipped file (the one you download off the Affilotheme members area). You may refer to the steps at: How do I install AffiloTheme using C-Panel?
