Word count for blogs depends on many factors and Length is a powerful tool if we are writing a valuable content, so it should be 1500-2500 words.

200-400 words: are great for product descriptions
400-600 words: only good for social engagements
600-1000 words: educational posts or journals, great for building SEO slowly
1000-1500 words: make sure it is valuable, this length is considered powerful to drive organic website traffic
1500-2500: google love long posts! include a lot of valuable reference links

Ideal words are 1,000-2500 but be sure to break up the text into smaller, scannable chunks so that the readers can easily understand them.

I follow Google's recommendation of a 1500–2500 word count. All my blog content followed that range. As a guest poster on Kallisto and other marketplaces, I think content that has these word counts is more appealing.

People say higher the word count better the rankings, I've seen many articles/blogs with less than 500 words ranking on the 1st page.

It just depends on the search query and how well your blog is optimized.

Depends on the total length of your article, if it's a shorter one then it could contain less than 1000 words, but ideally, it should have between 1500 and 2000 words, as these texts are the most popular ones.

Hi cuffeeleader, I want to be a seller on Kallisto too. What's the first step? How do I do this?

Search engines love longer posts. I always follow the Google range of 1,500-2,500 words.
